COVID-19 (coronavirus): how we’re responding 

The NSW Government has announced a stay-at-home order for Queanbeyan-Palerang to commence from 5pm Saturday 14 August until further notice.

The safety of our community, customers and staff is our top priority. 

Our staff monitor and respond to the global COVID-19 pandemic daily. 

We take advice on all public health matters from the State and Federal Government and comply with official restrictions as announced by relevant parties.

The COVID-19 situation continues to present all of us with serious challenges, especially our businesses

Both the NSW Government and Federal Government are providing support for individuals, sole traders, micro-businesses, small and medium businesses, as well as the creative services industry, and accommodation providers to help at this time.

There are different support packages available to micro-businesses, small to medium businesses, sole traders and small non-profits depending on your annual turnover. Please visit nsw.gov.au for more information or call Service NSW on 13 77 88.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty as a result of COVID-19 you can apply for rate relief by completing the Rate Relief Hardship Assistance. It can be completed online here.

What help is available for residents and ratepayers?

If you are experiencing financial difficulty as a result of COVID-19 please call us to speak to our rates team on 1300 735 025. You can apply for rate relief by completing the Rate Relief Hardship Assistance form which can be completed online here.

The relief options include deferral of rate instalments and extending regular rate payments over two years, and the waiver of interest charges, under approved payment plans.
