To encourage economic development Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is running two separate Shop Local promotions in both Bungendore and Braidwood leading up to Christmas 2017.
Both promotions open at 9am on 1 September 2017 and run until 12 noon on 1 December. Shoppers who spend a minimum of $20 at any of the participating businesses will receive an entry ticket into the $10,000 prize pool, for purchases $100 and over shoppers will receive two tickets into the draw (a maximum of two tickets per sale for purchases over $100). The winners will be drawn at the community Christmas celebrations - in Braidwood on Friday 1 and Bungendore on Saturday 2 December 2017.
Four winners will be selected at random for each of the Braidwood and Bungendore town promotions (NB: each promotion is specific to that town). The total prize pool is $10,000 for each town's promotion - the major prize is $8000 and minor prizes of $1000, and two $500 prizes in each town. The prizes will be awarded as store credits across selected Bungendore and Braidwood's participating businesses. QPRC Business & Innovation staff will assist the winners with activating their prizes.
The campaign is partnered with the Bungendore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bungendore Community Bank and the Braidwood Community Bank.
