We will be working on the Kings Highway between Weetalabah Drive and Burbong Bridge, east of Queanbeyan. Work will involve replacement of wire rope barriers with steel guard rails, some heavy patching, asphalt resurfacing and enhanced centreline line markings. Work commences Monday 3 May and is expected to be completed by the end of the month. Traffic control will be in place.

Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021 "More than a Word". Reconciliation takes action", urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.
2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process.
We will gather at Trinculo Place, Queanbeyan at 10am to start the walk at 10:30am. The walk will finish at the sunken gardens at Queanbeyan park (cnr Campbell & Lowe St).
Following the walk, we will have an official ceremony including an Aboriginal cultural performance and flag ceremony.
QPRC has a COVID-safe plan in place for this event. Hand sanitiser and a QR code for COVID safe check in will be made available. Schools will be required to send a list to the QPRC Community Team with list of students attending for COVID tracing purposes.
The walk will start at Trinculo Place and finish at the Sunken Gardens in Queanbeyan Park.
