Waterbugs with Waterwatch!
We are partnering with Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch to host a fascinating citizen science event! Join us on the Queanbeyan River to collect river water samples, find and identify macroinvertebrates (waterbugs), and learn how they are important for river health. The event will be run by Jed Pearson of Upper Murrumbidgee Waterwatch, and all the equipment you need will be provided.
You’ll be doing activities right next to the river, so please wear gumboots or enclosed shoes that you don’t mind getting wet, and expect to get a little muddy! We ask that you wear sun protection, and bring adequate water.
Spaces are limited, so please book your spot using the form below. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please contact Emery Joseph with any questions at emery.joseph@qprc.nsw.gov.au
