Update - May 2023

The intersection upgrades at Erin/Crawford and Campbell Streets have now been completed.

Update - 14 March 2023

Some right turns and through movements will be restricted at the intersection of Crawford/Erin/Campbell Streets from Wednesday 15 March. Detour signage will be in place directing motorists intending to cross or turn right on Crawford Street to adjacent intersections. Once the project is complete, it is expected that traffic crossing Crawford Street will use the new traffic lights at the Antill Street intersection.

This project will see the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Crawford/Antill Streets to improve safety. The traffic lights will also improve pedestrian safety with a new signalised crossing. Turning movements will be restricted at the Crawford/Erin/Campbell Street intersection.

Work commenced on Stage 1 on 27 October 2022. Traffic signals have now been installed at the intersection with Antill Street as part of Stage 1 and were turned on 5 April 2023. 

Some properties may experience minor access changes and reduced parking options for their customers, clients, and staff during construction. After construction, two parking spots on Antill Street near the post office will be relocated in front of the medical centre. An additional two parking spots will be added as part of the relocation.

During construction of Stage 1, Antill Street was closed west of Crawford Street. Detours will be in place and access to all properties and driveways near the intersection will be maintained throughout construction.

The contract for the work has been awarded to JSC Pty Ltd.
