Calling local buskers and performers - Buskers by the River is coming!

Friday evenings alongside the river at Queen Elizabeth II Park starting October 19 and going through to 21 December from 5pm - 8pm

QPRC’s Places + Spaces team is looking for local/regional buskers and performers to be a part of activating the award winning space that is Queen Elizabeth II Park in Queanbeyan on Friday evenings during Spring/Summer.

The Places + Spaces team have locked in some fabulous food vendors for every Friday evening for the 10 week period, with special appearances by other food vendors during that period too.

Entertainment options for the evening are sought from local buskers/performers so that we can set up a calendar, with ideally two performers per week across 8 of the 10 weeks - as we have a headlining act booked in for 23 November and 14 December (stay tuned for details).

Promotion and marketing of Buskers by the River will comprise of the following:

  • The Places + Spaces Facebook page will be heavily used in the lead up to the start date with weekly posts
  • QPRC Media Release/social media channels
  • Heavy promotion of drawcard entertainment/development of calendar

As an incentive, the first 16 buskers/performers to apply will receive $50 per performance. We can provide access to power but you will need to be completely self-sufficient in your set up. Please note in the event of rain Friday Food Fest and Buskers by the River will not go ahead.

Interested? If so please email EconomicDevelopment@qprc.nsw.gov.au with Buskers by the River in the Subject line. EOIs close Monday 15 October.
