Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council invites the community to be involved in Clean Up Australia Day this Sunday 3 March.

Council staff will be cleaning up with Queanbeyan Landcare from 9am-12pm at the newly refurbished barbecue area at the Morisset Street reserve. Anybody is welcome to join in to help clean up the river and then stay for a free barbecue afterwards.

Ten local schools have signed up to take part and will be cleaning up on Friday 1 March as part of the Schools Clean Up Australia Day. The Scout and Girl Guide groups are also getting involved, cleaning up in their local communities.

There are a number of other clean-up locations that anyone from the community is able to join. The NSW Parks and Wildlife Service are inviting the community to join them at the Queanbeyan Nature Reserve on Hoover Road and at the Cuumbeun Nature Reserve on Captains Flat Road.
