Community views sought on Bungendore dog park

Council is calling for the community to have their say on a potential fenced dog park in Bungendore.
After receiving a number of requests from the community for a fenced dog off-lead area, Council has identified two possible locations.
“Council has identified a site on Birch Drive and the existing dog off-lead area on Turallo Terrace as two possible locations for a fenced dog park with seating, water and shade,” Mayor Tim Overall said.
“Birch Drive already has some established trees and access to houses via the existing shared path network. The Turallo Terrace site does present some challenges for fencing due to its proximity to the creek and floodway.”
“We think Birch Drive is a good location for a fenced dog park, which would allow Turallo Terrace to remain an open space for community recreation, but we would like to get feedback from the community.”
Have your say online at yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au until 29 March. Comments will be presented to a future Council meeting to select a preferred site and consider funding for the 2019-20 financial year.
