Whether you’re looking for books, bric-a-brac, clothes, furniture, or something more obscure you can find some amazing deals when the Garage Sale Trail returns this month.

Across 12-13 and 19-20 November, Australia’s festival of pre-loved stuff will see more than 20 garage sales in Queanbeyan Palerang, with thousands more across the nation.

Just in time for you to finish your spring clean, the trail is a great way to sell your old stuff or find new things to bring home.

Mayor Kenrick Winchester said the trail was a fun and social way for residents to reduce waste, meet the neighbours and make or save a few bucks.

‘The garage and group sales registered locally will see around 10,000 kilograms of good stuff saved from landfill.’

‘The Burra community are hosting a group sale with over 50 stalls, our buy-back centres in Braidwood and Bungendore will be open as normal, and the Queanbeyan library are selling a selection of old books, DVDs and audio books. Make sure to check the garage sale trail website for opening hours of each sale so you don’t miss out.’

Garage Sale Trail has partnered with PayPal to enable cashless payments at this year’s event. Shoppers and sellers with the PayPal app can make and accept secure, touch-free payments by QR code.

The program it is funded by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy initiative.
