Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council have partnered with Icon Water and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra for the seventh annual Music by the River in Queanbeyan.

On 4 February residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy a delightful new program which pays tribute Elton John. Accomplished Australian vocalist Darren Percival will perform from Elton John’s iconic songbook alongside the orchestra after 7pm.

‘This program breathes new life into our well-loved event,’ said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.

‘We’ll see a range of local talent while enjoying gelato, fresh coffee, cannoli, burgers and local wines from a variety of stallholders and food vans.’

Ticket holders can start their night from 3pm with entertainment from local musicians including the Canberra Harmony Chorus, Duralla Street Dudes and Woodface.

Visitors can also bring their own picnic and enjoy this great night of music on the banks of the river.

General Admission on both sides of the river is free, simply register through Eventbrite.
