Multicultural festival in Queanbeyan - a dancer and community

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and the Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre have partnered once again for the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival.

Known for its culturally packed program featuring live performances, community activities, international cuisine and unique stalls, the Festival has grown every year.

‘This event is a great opportunity to learn about and appreciate our diverse community,’ Mayor Kenrick Winchester said.

‘Each year the Festival has such a warm community atmosphere and delicious food. It’s great to be able to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds through traditional dance and food.’

This Sunday 5 March you can watch performances from local dance schools, traditional Colombian, Karen, Chilean and Chinese Lion dancing plus so much more across two jam-packed stages.

This year’s program includes dance workshops to get everyone on their feet and involved in this fantastic event.

Join us at Queanbeyan Park from 10am to 4pm to enjoy unique market stalls, fabulous food and a great family friendly atmosphere.

Dedicated parking for the event is at the Queanbeyan Showground and a walking route is marked out for pedestrians.
