Council will update residents on a range of projects at its online community meeting on Thursday 29 October.

The meeting will start at 6pm and will include information on local projects such as the Bungendore Sports Hub, Lascelles St upgrade, Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Hub, Bungendore car park and will also allow residents to submit agenda items that they would like discussed.

“While it would be great to get out and see community members, we are still restricted with the number of residents we could accommodate at a face-to-face community meeting,” Queanbeyan-Palerang Mayor, Cr Tim Overall said.

“To ensure we can continue to communicate with our residents, we will be conducting the community meeting online. For some, this will make the meeting more accessible and I look forward to hearing from our residents.

“Earlier in 2020, we pre-recorded our community meetings, however feedback from the community was that they would have preferred more interaction. Following that feedback, we have decided to run this meeting via Zoom which will allow for increased dialogue during the meeting.”

The meeting agenda includes time for Council presentations on general matters, projects concerning Braidwood, Bungendore and Queanbeyan and questions from residents.

As the meeting will be held via Zoom, residents are asked to pre-register so they can be sent meeting details. Members of the public are able to register and submit agenda items for the meeting by completing the form at www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Events/Online-Community-Meeting
