Workshops to develop Regional Economic Development Strategy

Cogs of economic development

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is developing its first Regional Economic Development Strategy to guide economic activity and investment in the region.

As part of Restart NSW, the NSW Government is investing $1.3 billion in infrastructure through the Regional Growth Fund to support growing regional centres, activate local economies and improve services in communities.

The Regional Economic Development Strategy will focus on specific needs and strengths to clearly identify key economic priorities and enablers. We seek your ideas to help shape the Queanbeyan-Palerang Region’s ability to:

  1. gain an overview of the region’s individual economic strengths and advantages
  2. understand current and potential economic growth opportunities
  3. identify current and potential constraints on or risks to growth
  4. prioritise potential actions that could be undertaken to address each growth opportunity or constraint

The workshop will be facilitated by Coreview who have been engaged to complete the Strategy. Details of the workshops are listed below, please register to attend.
