Drop-in session - Complying Development in the C4 Zone

We are holding a drop-in session to provide an update on the progress of complying development on C4 Environmental Living zoned land.

This proposal could allow landowners to undertake minor complying development, should they wish to do so.

Council has been pursuing various options to enable minor complying development in the C4 Environmental Living zone for over a decade. Staff have been investigating potential options in consultation with key NSW Government agencies. The aim of the session is to provide an update on the agency responses and the pathway forward.

We have also developed a FAQ sheet(PDF, 91KB) which explains the proposed changes.

For Wamboin and Bywong community members, we are holding a community meeting on Wednesday 2 July 2025 from 4:30-6:00pm at the Wamboin Community Hall.

We are holding a drop-in session on Thursday 3 July 2025 from 4:30-6:00pm in the Nellie Hamilton Building, 257 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan where you can come and talk to Council staff about the proposal.
