Braidwood Household Chemical Cleanout

Use the chemical cleanout to dispose of your household chemical the right way. Come along to the Braidwood Waste Transfer Station on Saturday 12 September from 1pm-4pm.

This is a free service which in support with the NSW Environment Protection Authority.

You can drop off the following materials:

From your home

  • Solvents and household cleaners
  • Floor care products
  • Ammonia based cleaners
  • Fluorescent globes and tubes
  • Smoke detectors
  • Household batteries

From your car

  • Car batteries
  • Motor oils, fuels and fluids

From your garage

  • Paint and paint related products
  • Pesticides and herbicides
  • Poisons
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Pool chemicals
  • Hobby chemicals
  • Acids and alkalis

Only household quantities are accepted - 20kg or 20L maximum container size.

Please note that paints, fluorescent globes and tubes, smoke detectors, gas bottles, batteries, motor oils and cooking oils can be dropped off at the Bungendore waste transfer station and the Queanbeyan Waste Minimisation Centre at the CRC during normal opening hours during the year.
