Ryrie park upgrade

  • Lighting in Ryrie Park, as a security issue.  There has been a suggestion that a light could be powered by the windmill on the playground tower.
  • Rotunda in South Ryrie - update on plans for renovation, painting etc.
  • Tiles in the path leading up to wisteria in South Ryrie as an ongoing project.  There are people who would like to add tiles to that path. Judit Kovacs can arrange new tiles.
  • Current state of finances for Ryrie Park upgrades and plans to use any unspent funds, if there are any.
  • Water refill stations in Ryrie Park and at Rec Ground. Previously suggested vandal proof options.

 Other items

  • Can Council provide a list of all current and proposed projects relating to Braidwood and District, funding sources, and where they are up to?
  • Plans for the Council Building - any progress?
  • Footpaths - are there any current plans for footpaths in Braidwood?
  • QPRC concrete piping storage on Glenmore Rd.  There is a drainage issue there, with water pooling at the entrance.  Can screening trees be provided?
  • Footpath over Monkittee Creek needs urgent attention, safety concerns have been reported previously.
  • Ongoing issue with safety on pedestrian crossings, possibility of zigzag warnings to be painted on the road.
  • Can D&S toilets be cleaned by QPRC and made available to public?  High demand in Summer for toilets in that area of town.
  • Plans for Lascelles Street upgrade. Suggestion re choice of street trees.
  • Low levels of water in the Shoalhaven River.  Are there any plans for water restrictions?
  • Braidwood Town Centre Improvements - How much of the $500,000 is not yet spent and how is the Council now proposing the remaining funds be spent
  • Dargues Gold Mine community funds - It is understood that as part of the approval of the Dargues Gold Mine, the company is to provide funds to QPRC for community projects. Can this be confirmed? If so, how much is the sum of these funds, when will they become available and what are they proposed to be spent on?
  • Braidwood Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plan - Has the Council commenced seeking funding to implement the Braidwood Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plan? If not, when does it intent to seek such funding for the priority footpaths?
