Wamboin and Bywong Community Meeting - Complying Development

We are holding a community information session to provide an update on the progress of complying development on C4 Environmental Living zoned land.

Council has been pursuing various options to facilitate minor complying development opportunities in the C4 Environmental Living zone for over a decade. Staff have been investigating potential options in consultation with key State Government agencies. The aim of the session is to provide an update on the agency responses and the pathway forward.

We have also developed a FAQ sheet(PDF, 91KB) which explains the proposed changes.

For residents from Bywong and Wamboin, please join Councillors and senior officers from Council’s Strategic Planning Branch at a community meeting on Wednesday 2 July 2025 from 4:30-6:00pm at the Wamboin Community Hall.

A drop-in session is also being held on Thursday 3 July 2025 from 4:30-6:00pm in the Nellie Hamilton Building, 257 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan, for anyone unable to attend the community meeting.
