  • Council heard from six members of the public who made presentations about items on the agenda including a development application for partial demolition, alterations and additions to structures associated with the Albion Hotel and Bungendore Oval Fences
  • Council granted conditional consent to development application for partial demolition, alterations and additions to structures associated with the Albion Hotel at 119 Wallace Street, Braidwood with the demolition and removal of the T-shaped metal sheds not included in this consent and are to be retained on the subject site, supported by a structural integrity report. A plan showing the proposed new location is to be submitted to Council for approval prior to works commencing.
  • Council appointed all nominees and forms the Affordable Housing Working Group and nominates Cr Willis as the representative and Cr Wilson as alternate.
  • Council endorsed discussion of a variation with JJ’s Waste and Recycling to extend contract for a further 18 months to 27 October 2026 and will receive a further report once negotiations have been completed.
  • Council endorsed the application for funding through the NSW Flood Recovery and Resilience Grant Program for the Bungendore overflow channel project and will commit funding from General Fund of $750,000 over financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26.
  • Council authorised the General Manager to sign and execute the funding agreement for $2m from the Australian Government’s Investing in our Local Communities Program for the Jerrabomberra Traffic Campaign and will include in draft 2024-25 budget.
  • Council accepted offer from NSW Department of Education to extend lease of Bungendore Swimming Pool until 31 March 2024, authorised General Manager to execute addendum, will budget for operating the pool in 2024-25 and will request NSW Government contribute to operating costs.
  • Council received the Investment Report for February 2024, noting return of $1,422,800.
  • Council received information report about the use of Aero Ranger system for parking enforcement.
  • Council received information report about a review of Rural Area Developer Contribution Plans.
  • Council received information report with an update on the Affordable Housing Strategy.
  • Council received information report with the July-December 2023 Delivery Program update.
  • Council received information report with responses to Questions With Notice on the Bungendore Heritage Study.
  • Council received information report with responses to Questions With Notice on Braidwood water leaks.
  • Council received information report on Councillor Workshops held between 22 Feb – 20 March, including Cemeteries Strategic Plan, Jerrabomberra Pump Track, Consolidation of Rural Section 7.11 Contribution Plans Project, Restricted Assets Policy, Market Needs Analysis for QPRC Crawford Street properties, Aero Ranger Pilot Update, Bungendore Office, and Bywong/Wamboin Greenways.
  • Council noted the minutes of the QPRC Heritage Advisory Committee of 22 February 2024 and noted recommendations from the meeting.
  • Council noted the minutes of the QPRC Access Committee of 12 February 2024.
  • Council noted the minutes of the QPRC Sports Council of 5 February 2024.
  • Council will write to Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and the Member for Monaro raising community concerns about legality and necessity of fence on Bungendore oval, noting unkempt nature of grounds and banners, and request removal of fences until work can proceed.
