Music by the River featuring CSO and BABBA

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council partnered with Icon Water and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra present the eighth annual Music by the River in Queanbeyan.

Join us at Queen Elizabeth II Park on 3 February and enjoy BABBA as they take on hits like Dancing Queen, Waterloo and Mama Mia! with the incredible Canberra Symphony Orchestra from 7pm.

‘This year make sure to pack your dancing shoes and meet us on the banks of the Queanbeyan River for a night of good food and great music,’ said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.

‘Bring a picnic or just yourself and enjoy gelato, pizza, Portuguese chicken, beer, bubbly and more from a range of stallholders.’

Pip Thompson, violinist with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, is excited to be playing by the river this year.

‘I l've ABBA because I think it’s universal, their songs are upbeat, they’re poignant and they’re for all ages.’

Ticket holders can start their night from 4pm with entertainment from local musicians including Woodface and Phoenix 5.

General Admission on both sides of the river is free, simply register through Eventbrite.
