The NSW Department of Education (DoE) has compulsorily acquired several properties from Council in Bungendore to establish the new Bungendore High School. These properties include the Bungendore Community Centre, Council Offices, the Bungendore Pool, and some road reserves.

As a result of the compulsory acquisition, Council will establish a new office at 19 Gibraltar Street, Bungendore to replace the previous office and Community Centre. It will be the main workspace for Council staff in Bungendore and will incorporate amenities like community rooms, public toilets, multi-purpose spaces and Customer Service facilities.

A Concept Design for the new Bungendore Office at 19 Gibraltar Street has been developed by CK Architecture which is available for download(PDF, 9MB). Once the acquisition process has been finalised Council will submit a Regionally Significant Development Application to the NSW Department of Planning for approval, before tendering for construction.

Council staff in Bungendore have relocated from 10 Majara Street to a temporary office at 13 Gibraltar Street. Once the new office is constructed at 19 Gibraltar Street, all staff will be relocated to the new facility.

Initial consultations with various internal and external stakeholders have been completed to gather input for the concept design's early stages. This primarily focused on identifying necessary building features and requirements. There will be opportunity for the community to provide feedback during the Development Application process.
