Reschs Creek Bridge

Reschs Creek crossing provides road access into the Rossi area. The crossing is currently a low level causeway which is regularly affected by flooding. The project includes construction of a new bridge with improve flood immunity built on a new road alignment that will seek to improve connections to the road network on both sides of the creek. 

The proposed project funded under the NSW election commitment funding will see a new bridge built adjacent to the current crossing with a proposed height that provides flood free access up to an approximate 1 in 50 year event (2% ARI). The proposed $4,500,000 grant funded budget will be expended subject to meeting the desired standard and service level. Planning and design phases are to commence in 2024/25 with construction in 2025/26.

What's happened so far

  • Preliminary investigations (REF, survey etc)  
  • Initial Flood Study
  • Additional survey works completed, waiting for survey to be issued to Council 
  • Work is continuing on boundary investigations and possible bridge locations and road alignments

What's next

  • Confirm extent of additional REF Study 
  • Work on Bridge Design and Construct Tender Brief 
  • Geotechnical investigation on preferred bridge option
