  • Council supported progression of a scoping proposal for rezoning and minimum lot size change on map in QPRLEP 2022 at 350 Wirreanda Road, Wamboin for initial agency consultation. No approval or endorsement of the scoping proposal forms part of this decision. Council will consider at a future date whether to support or refuse progression of a Planning Proposal to the Dept of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure for Gateway Determination
  • Council received information report with responses to Questions With Notice on Captains Flat Properties affected by Legacy Mining Contamination
  • Council will receive report on change to the local heritage listing of the Albion and outbuildings, made during the transition from the Palerang LEP 2014 to the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional LEP 2022 (QPRLEP 2022); the extent and values of local heritage for the Albion and outbuildings site which has been removed from the QPRLEP2022; and recommendations for reinstating the local item.
  • Council endorsed register of proposed road names which will be advertised for 28 days and made publicly available for use if no objections received
  • Council will allocate $10,000 from the 2023-24 events budget as a grant to the Braidwood and Villages Business Chamber for commencing the Braidwood District Events Coordination Project
  • Council approved a Cultural Grant of $2,970 for the Rotary Club of Bungendore to pay for local Aboriginal artwork to be incorporated into playing cards for the Monopoly Bungendore Edition
  • Council will place the draft Restricted Funds Policy on public exhibition for 28 days and adopt the policy if there are no objections
  • Council received and noted the submission on the draft Investment Policy and adopted the policy
  • Council received the capital projects status report for information and will include a budget variation of $678,726 in the third quarter budget review for over expenditure at completion of Stage 1 of Bungendore Sports Hub
  • Council received information report on road renewal and maintenance activities from January – March 2024
  • Council received information report about outstanding rates
  • Council received information report with Questions With Notice and staff responses about the Waterwise Policy
  • Council received information report with Questions With Notice about staff salary underspends and responses will be provided at 24 April Council Meeting
  • Council received information report about Councillor workshops held between 21 March – 3 April including South Jerrabomberra Regional Jobs Precinct Master Plan, Draft Budget Water & Sewer Fund - Operational Plan, Delivery Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan, CAPEX Projects, Fees and Charges, South-East Tablelands Regional Integration Transport Plan (SETRITP) and Braidwood & Bungendore Transport Studies; Draft Budget Waste Fund - Operational Plan, Delivery Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan, CAPEX Projects, Fees and Charges
  • Council noted minutes of Bungendore Town Centre and Environs Committee meetings of 22 January & 26 February and noted resolution that BTCEC does not support proposed landscape plan for Frogs Hollow without provision of public toilet and additional parking
  • Council received delegate report from Mayor Winchester from the CRJO meeting on 29 February and 1 March 2024
  • In closed session, Council declined the offer to purchase property at current asking price and authorised General Manager to enter into negotiations and receive further report if agreement reached
  • In closed session, Council declined to accept the one tender received for Regional Sports Complex Café/Bar licence, will engage with user groups on how can be best operated. Council will develop a schedule of fees and charges for its hire, and will work with Embrace Disability Group with the intent of recommending them as a preferred caterer for events at the Major Pavilion Café/Bar
  • In closed session, Council endorsed removing Paul Lyons from the Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery and will review and update guidelines related to admittance and removal from the gallery.
