  • Council accepted the resignation of Cr Edwina Webster for personal reasons. Mayor Winchester thanked Cr Webster for her service to the community as a Councillor. Council will apply to not fill the vacancy and operate with 10 councillors until the September 2024 election
  • Council granted conditional consent for construction of a shed for community purposes at 43A Henderson Road, Queanbeyan and agrees to waive Section 64 contributions for Canberra Monaro N Scale Group Inc as a not-for-profit organisation
  • Council received and noted the June 2023 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, carried forward the 2022-23 unspent budgets for capital works into the 2023-24 Budget, noted the cash and investments position, and confirmed June 2023 Internal Reserves balances
  • Council appointed Cr Grundy and Cr Macdonald as representatives to the Australia Day Organising Committee and Cr Macdonald to join Cr Winchester as representative to the Australia Day Awards Committee
  • The register of annual returns of disclosures of pecuniary interest and other matters by councillors and designated staff for the period ending 30 June 2023 was tabled
  • Council received information report on the status of Land-use Planning projects from December 2022 to September 2023
  • Council received information report on the draft Braidwood Community Plan
  • Council received information report providing an update on the Bungendore High School
  • Council received information report on Councillor workshops between 21 September and 4 October including Bungendore Swimming Pool CAPEX Review, Jerrabomberra Pump Track Project, New Bungendore Office, QBRS Fourth Quarter and Cash Reserves
  • Council noted the minutes of Bungendore Town Centre and Environs Committee meeting held on 17 July 2023
  • In closed session, Council authorised acquisition of land for providing pedestrian access to soon to be built Council building in Bungendore and will make application to Minister for Local Government and to the Governor
  • In closed session, subject to modified scope being accepted by grant funding, Council accepted negotiated price from Greenwich Built Pty Ltd for works on the Braidwood Heritage Centre and will commence a staged construction certificate to allow construction to begin
  • In closed session, Council authorised the General Manager to execute the Agreement for Lease with Property NSW for Levels 4 and 5 of Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct
  • In closed session, Council awarded a contract for Queanbeyan Pool – Upgrade to Change Rooms project to Rice Constructions Group for $424,545.45
