Council stated its support for the proposed change to the Constitution supporting a ‘yes’ vote in the upcoming referendum and will encourage members of the community to seek more information by providing Australian Government resources available

Council noted that the NSW EPA issued an order to NSW Forestry Corporation to cease logging in parts of Tallaganda State Forest, following discovery of a dead Southern Greater Glider, noting that the glider is listed as endangered as a result of significant habitat loss. Council will seek clarification from EPA on incident and actions in relation to ongoing forestry operations here, request NSW Minister for the Environment order scientific survey on state of local glider population and actions to prevent species going extinct here
