Here's the summary of resolutions made at the 26 July 2023 Council Meeting.

  • In the Public Forum, Council heard from two members of the public who made presentations about a DA at 26 Farrer Place (Queanbeyan Bowls Club) involving the installation of a shade structure, which was a matter on the agenda
  • Council granted conditional approval to a modification application at 7123 Nerriga Road, Corang with original conditions of consent imposed as amended
  • Council granted conditional consent for installation of shade structure at 26 Farrer Place, Queanbeyan and supported a request to waive section 7.12 fixed levy development contributions
  • Council granted approval for variation to Clause 4.3 of Palerang LEP 2014 and granted conditional consent for construction of dwelling house with attached carport and installation of a shed at 34 Wallace Street, Braidwood
  • Council noted Review of Environmental Factors and endorsed the South Jerrabomberra Dog Park design for construction
  • Council endorsed the name ‘Robert Winnel Village Lawn’ for the lawn in the soon-to-be-built South Jerrabomberra Town Park
  • Council received Investment Report for June 2023, noting return of $1,012,126
  • Council authorised General Manager to execute Service Level Agreement and Pricing Agreement with Icon Water for supply of potable water to the Queanbeyan Water Supply until 30 June 2028
  • Council adopted the Annual Fire Safety Statements Policy
  • Council will place the draft Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Policy on public exhibition for 28 days at https://yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au and will adopt the Policy if no submissions are received
  • Council received information report providing answers to Councillor questions
  • Council received information report on compliance and reporting activities for January-June 2023
  • Council received information report on road renewal and maintenance activities between April-June 2023
  • Council received WHS Report for period January-June 2023
  • Council received report on councillor workshops between 6-19 July, including Samsara Eco re Research and Development Facility at Jerrabomberra, Metering of Fire Services Policy, Jerrabomberra Pump Track, Freebody Sculpture, Butmaroo Fire Trail
  • Council received report on annual Food Act enforcement activity
  • In closed session, Council agreed to proceed to sell lots on Red Hill Road, Majors Creek via public auction
