Tree that has been yarn bombed Crawford Street Queanbeyan

This winter, Ellendon Street is getting a cosy, colourful makeover as we transform Bungendore’s Ellendon street into a vibrant winter wonderland with a Yarn Bombing Project.

What is yarn bombing?

It’s a fun, creative form of street art that wraps trees, poles, and other public objects in colourful yarn creations. It brings joy, colour, and community spirit to public spaces and helps encourage visitation!

Help us celebrate creativity and community!

The QPRC Placemaking and Community teams are reusing the amazing tree ‘jumpers’ generously made and donated from past Queanbeyan projects and bringing them to Bungendore this June – just in time for International Knitting Day on Saturday 14 June!

We’d love Bungendore locals and community groups to add their own yarn art to the project – big or small! Let’s bring warmth, colour and creativity to Ellendon Street this winter!
