  • Council heard from four members of the public who made presentations about items on the agenda including: a DA for a Two Storey Pub and Function Centre in Googong; a Scoping proposal for Googong Dam Realignment; Housekeeping Amendments (Googong) to QPRLEP 2022; Results of Public Consultation on the
  • Deed of Variation Googong Sports Club Memorandum of Understanding; Scoping Proposal Rezoning 175 Tarago Road Bungendore (Ashby) for Residential Purpose; and Council's Submission on the South Jerrabomberra Regional Job Precinct Draft Master Plan.
  • Council heard from a member of the public who presented a petition concerning the location of the proposed Jerrabomberra Pump Track
  • Council granted conditional consent to development application for a two-storey pub with food and drink premises and function centre at 150 Wellsvale Drive, Googong and will forward NSW Police a copy of the notice of determination
  • Council granted conditional approval to development application for a two-storey house at 205 Tudor Valley Road, Reidsdale
  • Council will prepare a submission on the South Jerrabomberra Regional Job Precinct Draft Master Plan and endorses the master plan with appropriate changes
  • Council did not support progression of a scoping proposal for 175 Tarago Road, Bungendore and will receive a further report on Bungendore rezonings, direction and options for the Bungendore Structure Plan
  • Council supported progress of the scoping proposal for rezoning Lot 11 DP1266001 29 Connolly Street and part Lot 6 DP1294382 on Wellsdale Drive, Googong for initial agency consultation
  • Council noted public exhibition of planning proposal with housekeeping amendments with changes to 8 planning maps of Googong township, adopts planning proposal and agrees to finalise the process to update LEP maps
  • Council adopted in principle names Tirriwirri Lane, Burugun Walk and Galu Way, Tralee and will advertise the names for public comment
  • Council adopted in principle the name Abelia Avenue for road in South Jerrabomberra Urban Release Area and will advertise the name for public comment
  • Council approved a cultural grant of $1500 to Australian Dance Party Ltd towards costs for ‘Escape from Plastika’ performance in Braidwood in April 2024
  • Council received the September 2023 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, adopted the budget variations and noted opinion of Responsible Accounting Officer in relation to Council’s financial performance and projected year result is satisfactory
  • Council received a presentation from Auditors on the Financial Statements, accepted the audited General Purpose Financial Statements, Special Purpose Financial Statements and Special Schedules for year ended 30 June 2023 and noted public submissions will be accepted until 3 February 2024.   • Council provided in-principle support for a long-term lease to Queanbeyan City Football Club. Council will receive a further report for approval regarding project funding, delivery, lease arrangement, tenure and term
  • Council will renew the licence agreements with the Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club over the courts in Campbell Street and Wanniassa Street for further 5 year period subject to consent from NSW Minister for Crown Lands
  • Council endorsed the deed of variation to the tripartite MoU with Googong Township and Googong Sports Club Incorporated
  • Council received report with responses to Questions on Notice about the Tallaganda State Forest Logging Stop-Work Order
  • Council received report with response to Questions on Notice about the Jerrabomberra Pump Track
  • Council received Questions on Notice about Ellerton Drive Extension Loan Repayments, Disaster Recovery Grant Funding, Community Climate Action Plan and Net Zero Project. Theses will be responded to at future Council meetings
  • Council received information report on Councillor workshops held between 16 November to 6 December including Memorial Garden, Council Parks/Lots – 2010-2011, Response to Draft Aquatics Strategy and Queanbeyan Aquatics Centre Proposal, Cadet and Trainee Program, Captains Flat Health Centre Options, Queanbeyan Sewage Treatment Plan Project financial modelling update, Monaro Rail Trail Project update, Heavy Vehicles in Queanbeyan East, and Community Strategic Plan 2025
  • Council received information report for a site inspection of 175 Tarago Road, Bungendore
  • Council noted minutes and recommendations of the QPRC Heritage Advisory Committee on 5 October and 2 November 2023
  • Council noted minutes and adopted recommendations of the Local Traffic Committee on 5 December 2023
  • Notice of Motion to establish an Advisory Committee known as the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council Small Business Advisory Committee will be referred to incoming Council following the 2024 Local Government elections
  • Notice of Motion to establish an Advisory Committee known as the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council Committee of Seniors will be referred to incoming Council following the 2024 Local Government elections
  • In closed session, Council agreed to appoint O’Connor Marsden & Associates Pty Ltd as internal audit service provider with a contract to provide services for 3 years from January 2024, with options to extend and agreed annual budget of $160,000
  • In closed session, Council endorsed Heads of Agreement for a lease over ground floor Kiosk in the Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct and authorised General Manager to execute lease agreement
  • In closed session, Council approved the sale of Lots 11, 12 and 13 DP574879 Red Hill Road, Majors Creek for $85,000 and authorised General Manager to execute the sale contract
  • In closed session, Council endorsed the proposed Heads of Agreement for a lease between QPRC and North Herring Lawyers over part Level 3 of the Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct and authorises the General Manager to execute lease agreement
