• Council heard from six members of the public who made presentations about items on the agenda including: Change of Use of Farm Shed to Rural on Sawyers Ridge Road Reidsdale; the proposal to name the Heritage Library as the Frank Pangallo Heritage Library; an update on Clarke Gang Signage in Braidwood and surrounds; and Regional Digital Connectivity Program.
• Council received a report for review of determination for change of use of a farm shed to rural industry at 316 Sawyers Ridge Road, Reidsdale and granted conditional development consent
• Council received an information report with an update on Clarke Gang Signage
• Council will call on the State Government to reverse its decision and to restore funding to deliver fibre-to-the-premise network connections for the residents of Wamboin, Bywong and Sutton
• Council received the December 2024 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, adopted the budget variations in the report, and noted the opinion of the Responsible Accounting Officer that financial performance and project year result is satisfactory
• Council approved a cultural grant of $1,000 towards costs for a free public screening of classic Australian films at Braidwood National Theatre, during the Queanbeyan-Palerang Heritage Festival
• Council adopted in principle proposed name Carnation Drive for new road within Estate 2 at South Jerrabomberra Urban Release Area, will exhibit the name for 28 days and publish notice in NSW Government Gazette if no objections are received
• Council will proceed with the proposal to name the former Queanbeyan Council Chambers building the Frank Pangallo Heritage Library
• Council endorsed Terms of Reference for a Small Business Advisory Committee and nominated Cr Macdonald as delegate and Cr Broadbent as alternate. Council will seek community representations through an open expression of interest
• Council endorsed Terms of Reference for the Bungendore Town Centre and Environs Committee and nominated Cr Schweikert as delegate and Cr Grundy as alternate. Council will seek community representations through an open expression of interest
• Council endorsed Terms of Reference for the Seniors Advisory Committee and nominates Cr Macdonald as delegate and Cr Waterhouse as alternate. Council will seek community representations through an open expression of interest
• Council received the Investment Report for the month of January 2025, notes the investment return of $1,746,693
• Council received an information report about PFAS in Bungendore water supply
• Council received an information report about the lease of 262 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan
• Council received information report with the Delivery Program Update December 2024
• Council received information report on Council’s submission to OLG on the new Model Code of Meeting Practice
• Council received information report on councillor workshop on 19 February. Workshop included the QBRS as at 31 December; Shop-top housing proposal 50 Morisset Street; Waste Strategy Review; and the Community Strategic Plan
• Council received report with questions with notice about the road from Hoskinstown to Reschs Creek with answers to be provided at a future meeting
• Council received report with questions with notice about the Foxlow Bridge with answers to be provided at a future meeting
• Council received report with questions with notice about the Reschs Creek Bridge with answers to be provided at a future meeting
• Council received report with answers to questions with notice about blackberry spraying and signage
• Council received report with questions with notice about the shade sail prioritisation with answers to be provided at a future meeting
• Council received report with questions with notice about accessible car parking in Braidwood with answers to be provided at a future meeting
• In closed session, Council awarded the contract for Braidwood Landfill Capping and Closure Plans to SMEC Australia for $236,580
