Council is working with the National Theatre and Community Centre S355 Committee to improve the visual amenity, usability and functionality, energy efficiency and most importantly the thermal comfort of the building.

The work to the front of the building is now complete with new pressed metal cladding to match the existing installed, including wall insulation and new timber double glazed windows.

Work to the side walls has also commenced on the southern wall with removal of the old internal linings, installation of insulation, new double glazed windows and wall sheeting. The northern wall to be treated similarly. 

Work is expected to commence on the roof insulation and be completed by the end of  March.
