National Reconciliation Week

Reconciliation Week is held each from 27 May - 3 June. The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2026 us All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. It is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will - and must  - continue.

2026 Queanbeyan Reconciliation Walk

2026-Qybn-Rec-walk.jpg

Each year, QPRC holds a large and symbolic walk for reconciliation, which involves all of the schools across the Queanbeyan Palerang region, along with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders and the broader community.

With poor weather forecast for Tuesday 2 June indicating a high likelihood of rain, we will be gathering to acknowledge and celebrate reconciliation in the Bicentennial Hall, instead of the walk across the bridge and into the park.

The Bicentennial Hall is located at 253 Crawford Street. Please allow additional time to find parking before the event. Arrival is from 10 am.
