COMPLETED Sealing of Miners Road Captains Flat

Council is sealing Miners Road, Copper Creek Road and the SES compound.

This work will not be a major upgrade or widening, but a simple two-coat seal to reduce the impact of dust from these unsealed roads.

The Captains Flat Lead Management Taskforce recommended sealing these roads to minimise community exposure to dust as there are elevated levels of lead in some locations in the Captains Flat area. The NSW Government has funded the works.

Council will also be replacing the Foxlow Street Bridge under the Fixing Country Bridges program. Before this work can begin, Miners Road needs to be sealed because local traffic will be redirected along Miners Road during the bridge replacement project.
