Roadworks marked for Southbar and Tharwa Roads

The Southbar Road/Tharwa Road intersection has a history of rear end crashes for vehicles turning right from Southbar Road as well as vehicles running off road. The objective of this project is to minimise these crashes.

Southbar Road has been widened at the intersection to allow the addition of a separate right turning lane. Additionally, guard rails have been installed, and other necessary associated works will be carried out.

These works were fully funded by the Australian Government Black Spot Program.
