BMCA has been appointed as the project and construction manager and they are preparing the construction contract.

During the review of the documentation, BMCA identified a potentially more efficient construction methodology and this is being investigated further. Although this does delay the project, the change potentially saves approximately 6 weeks on the construction timeframe, plus reduces the procurement times for materials. Council staff consider this is worth progressing, and the construction methodology will be confirmed by mid-December.

A Request for Tender will be released in mid-January, with an expected construction start up in April 2026.
