Water outage around Surveyor Street

On Wednesday 4 February, we are undertaking leak detection works. Water to properties around Surveyor Place, Crest Road, Camellia Place, and Crinoline Street in Queanbeyan may be switched off. Those properties expected to be affected should have received a letter.

The outage to water supply will be between 9am and 3pm, though it may not be for this whole time.

Online bookings for kerbside collections not available

Online bookings for kerbside collections are currently not available. Bookings are full until the end of February 2026.
An alternative is to use the free Self Haul Vouchers that are available on the QPRC waste info app or via this website page.
We are currently in negotiations for a new contractor and new dates will become available once this has been finalised.

Old Cooma Road Fernleigh Drive to Wellsvale Drive

We are working on old Cooma Road between Wellsvale Drive and Fernleigh Drive, Googong.

There will pavement rehabilitation and minor widening and sealing, funded by the Australian Government through the Roads to Recovery program.

Shoulder grading and site clearing works were completed in November 2025.

We are currently working on concrete drainage, which is expected to be completed by mid-February 2026.

Road pavement works are scheduled to begin on Thursday 5 March, weather permitting.

Sealing and guardrail works are expected in early-mid April, depending on completion of the road works.
