Braidwood Landfill remediation

This project will see works on the final rehabilitation of the former Braidwood landfill. The Braidwood landfill was closed in late 2019 when the Resource Recovery Facility opened.

We have engaged a consultant to develop closure plan and specification for works. This is now underway – including early-stage environmental monitoring for leachate.

Review of Environmental Factors

A Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the capping and closure of the former Braidwood Landfill has been prepared and is open for public comment. The report presents the assessment of potential impacts that may result from the proposed capping and closure of the former unlicensed landfill located at 372 Bombay Road, Braidwood. Comments are open until Thursday 16 April.
