Welcome to the 2026 World Wildlife Day Photo Competition!
March 3 is World Wildlife Day and we’re celebrating our local wildlife and biodiversity with a photography competition.
World Wildlife Day is an international event hosted by the United Nations to celebrate the world’s plants, animals, and other living things, and acknowledge the contributions that wildlife makes to our lives and the planet. Australia is one of 17 mega-diverse countries, and a lot of wildlife is unique.
We want you to showcase the fantastic biodiversity across the QPRC region. Get your cameras ready and go find something cool to photograph! It can be a plant, an animal, or even a mushroom! It just needs to be native to the QPRC region. What will you find?
Get the best picture you can – but be careful not to touch or hurt any plants or animals while you’re there!
If you have any questions, please contact our Environment Education Officer at (02) 6285 6089 or at Emery.Joseph@qprc.nsw.gov.au
