Dates will become available for bookings once this has taken place.Residents eligible for scheduled bulky waste cleanups for multi-units will be notified of a date for collections once we have appointed the new contractor. Contract for the upgrade of the boiler at the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre to Carrier Australia for the sum of $384,964 was awarded at the Council meeting on 25 May 2022.
The two new boilers which service the outdoor 50m pool and the splash park have now been successfully commissioned. They replace aged boiler plant which were at the 'end of life'. The new gas powered boilers are expected to provide excellent energy efficiency and important reliability gains.
Part of the project was to upgrade the existing boiler management system to cover the new boiler plant and mechanical switchboard.
