A 21-lot subdivision off Wirreanda Road, Wamboin approved in Development Application MOD.2017.016, has one new road that requires naming. The proposed name Top Flat Lane has been selected in accordance with Council’s Road Names Policy and the Geographical Names Board guidelines for the naming of roads.

Background

The proposed road sits on a property which has been called Top Flat for at least 160 years. The subdivision of Top Flat means that the contiguous land holding no longer exists and would mean the loss of an historical property name with connections to a number o pioneering Wamboin families.
