Mother breastfeeding infant

Whether it’s parties, BBQs, family get-togethers or celebrations, alcohol is often served at social gatherings. If you’re breastfeeding and intend to drink, you need to think ahead to keep your baby safe.

In this short session you can learn about how alcohol affects your breastmilk, the basics of how long alcohol stays in your blood and breastmilk, and general tips on when you can safely feed your baby if you have drunk alcohol.

NSW Health and the Australian Breastfeeding Association will be at the session providing information, advice and to answer any questions.
