Sealing of Williamsdale Road

The first stage of this project was the sealing of 1.6km across two sections. This includes 600m of Williamsdale Road from Badgery Road heading toward Keewong Lane and 1km from the unsealed section near Knowles Lane heading towards Burra. These works were funded by the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. This has been completed.

The NSW Government is funding the project on Williamsdale Road, with $2.99m under the Fixing Local Roads Program.

Update April 2024

We are currently working on a 2.6km section between the sealed sections at the Monaro Highway end. Crews are onsite and working towards a seal in coming months. Depending on weather conditions, we hope to have a seal applied in June 2024.

We have completed all the required tree removal, installed fencing, implemented erosion and sediment control measures, and made significant progress in the earthworks. The majority of the kerb work is finished and we have nearly finalised the installation of culverts, which is a critical component of this project.
