New days and hours will soon be in place for our Waste Transfer Stations. Our busier transfer stations will be open longer and on more days. The changes make the hours more consistent across the transfer stations. All QPRC waste facilities will now be closed on NSW public holidays. Find out more about the new hours.
Waste Transfer Stations
Mulch at the Queanbeyan Waste Minimisation Centre will only be available for purchase until mid-August 2026. Compost, made from the green-lidded FOGO bin waste, will continue to be available for purchase.
Barracks Flat Park is a rather large park with swings, slide, climbers, spinners and a sliding pole which is suited to all ages. There is also shade, toilets, picnic tables, a BBQ, half court basketball, bike track and the playground is fenced.
