Council engineers have a staged plan to address waterlogging at the Recreation Ground from the source of water flow into the grounds. 

Stage 1 Drainage reshaping corner of Elrington and Keder Street

Stage 2 Drainage along Keder Street to catch any overflow across the street and Lowering of the Rec driveway

Internal works to include new drainage channels from the driveway to the skatepark and across the front of the Life Centre. These works will be dependent upon works completed in stages 1 and 2.

• Extending the stormwater pipe
• Clyde Street - drainage channel from Lascelles Street - complete
• New irrigation
• New fending and seating
• Renovation and extension of the 2 turf playing surfaces
• Cricket practice nets (awaiting final touches)
