Project update - 17 July 2026

The toilet facility is being manufactured offsite, expected to be finished by the end of September. Installation on site is planned to take place in October-November.

The external walls of the toilet block will have some historical imagery of Bungendore. We have consulted with Bungendore Town Centre and Environs Committee to select the imagery.

We are negotiating for the easement for sewer works, and working on DA approval.

We have discussed the project with the Access Committee and conducted an access audit of the plans.

We are also working through design work with Essential Energy for the electrical connection at the car park.

Project background

We are installing a new public toilet block in the Bungendore carpark located at 14A Malbon street, Bungendore. In addition to the new amenities, the works will include connecting the new toilet block to the sewer main and modification to the existing electrical infrastructure. The electrical works will support the new facility and allow for future additions such as EV chargers.

The aim of the project is to provide a public toilet facility in the centre of town, and improve the amenity of the carpark so it can better support community use, including markets, events, and other activities. The project is currently in the planning and approval stages.

The procurement process for the design, supply, and installation of a prefabricated toilet block has been successfully completed, and a contractor has been engaged. The facility is proposed to include one accessible toilet with baby change table and two ambulant toilets.
