We’ve received reports of discoloured water in various locations across Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra and Googong recently. First and foremost, we want to assure you that the water supply meets Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and is safe to drink. We are flushing water mains and working with Icon Water to investigate further.
New days and hours will soon be in place for our Waste Transfer Stations. Our busier transfer stations will be open longer and on more days. The changes make the hours more consistent across the transfer stations. All QPRC waste facilities will now be closed on NSW public holidays. Find out more about the new hours.

A $2.25M Community Development Grant from the Federal Government and matching Council funds has seen the expansion of the Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre (QISC). The capacity of the centre has been increased by including three additional multipurpose courts, two squash courts and an an indoor cricket court. The three multi-purpose sports courts will be able to be reconfigured into one large court for representative level futsal or other sports.
The new facilities were completed in August 2018 and the centre was officially reopened on 21 September.
