Monaro Street is closed between Lowe Street and Atkinson Street with detours in place for the Monaro Street Refresh project.

Waste Transfer Station hours changing

New days and hours will soon be in place for our Waste Transfer Stations. Our busier transfer stations will be open longer and on more days. The changes make the hours more consistent across the transfer stations. All QPRC waste facilities will now be closed on NSW public holidays. Find out more about the new hours.

Buy Back Centres at Bungendore/Braidwood, Macs Reef Road WTS

Due to staff shortages, the Buy Back Centre at the Bungendore Waste Transfer Station and Braidwood Waste Transfer Station will not be open this weekend 8-9 August. The transfer stations themselves will be open.

The Macs Reef Road Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday 8 August. Those looking to dispose of waste should attend the Bungendore Waste Transfer Station.

The Braidwood truck wash facility received State and Federal funding to upgrade the existing facility. The upgrade was completed in April 2020.

The truck wash is currently used:

To clean vehicles that transport stock and stock supplies to the nearby sale yards
By local farmers
By Local abattoirs
By general road users

What did the upgrade involve?

Installation of a high pressure pump with connection to raw water supply
Install new light pole and sensor light to increase usage and improve safety of the facility during the evening
Provide a truck ramp which will allow for better drainage

The upgrade will improve the truck wash with better draining, a shorter wash time and better night time visibility.
