We have a Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP), which includes Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plans for Bungendore, Braidwood and Queanbeyan.

In late 2025, we consulted with the community to update the priority list under these plans. The review is available on this page. We have also pulled out the appendix which includes the table of priorities, which lists the priority projects for Bungendore, Braidwood and Queanbeyan. Download the works priority list(PDF, 282KB).

The footpath and shared path projects being completed in 2025-26 are listed below. Open up the project you're interested in to find out more.

Rutledge Street, Bungendore

Progress Update - July 17 2026

  • Works will start in the coming week and will be completed within three weeks from commencement, subject to weather conditions.
  • JSC Pty Ltd are the preferred contractor for the project.

Project Background

We are planning to construct 215m of 1.5m-wide footpath along Rutledge Street from Ellendon Street to Kings Highway. This project has been identified in the adopted Bungendore Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plan and is ranked fourth in the Bungendore works priority list.

Consultation with residents regarding the proposed path alignment is set to begin from 11 June.

The works will require the removal of some trees to accommodate the footpath; this will be discussed with residents, and replacement saplings will be planted to offset the loss.

The footpath construction is expected to have minimal impact on traffic along Rutledge Street, with traffic management measures implemented to ensure the safety of workers, residents, pedestrians, and road users.
