Forster Street - Bungendore

Forster Street was identified as a high-priority shared path in the Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Plan. The new path will connect the early learning centre and south Bungendore residents to existing shared paths on Ellendon Street and Majara St.

Construction will be over 500m of 2m wide shared paths between 6 Forster Street and Majara Street. JSC Pty Ltd will be completing the work and were awarded a contract in March 2026.

Construction is progressing and we expect construction to  be completed in June 2026, subject to weather.

Progress update

• Clearing of vegetation is progressing
• Ellendon Street intersection  
  • Pedestrian Refuge - Expected mid-May
  • New kerb and gutter - Complete
• Demolition of old kerb and gutter at the intersection of Forster and Ellendon Streets is still to be completed
• Between Majara and Butmaroo Streets - shared path construction is partially completed
• Work between Butmaroo and Ellendon Streets is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Jerrabomberra Creek

A new path will be constructed connecting Waterfall Drive to Mariners Court, which will provide the missing link to the path around Lake Jerrabomberra.
