We manage Mount Jerrabomberra in accordance with an adopted Plan of Management.

This Plan of Management provides guidelines for maintaining the natural biodiversity and ecosystem of the land, while also promoting community use, bushfire mitigation, and protect key services established on the site.

Council has allocated $130,000 per year for three years to manage and improve the site. These works will include targeted weed control of priority weed species, select weed control of non-priority weed species, revegetation, track management, and erosion control.

Work has been completed on targeted weed control, revegetation on areas impacted by burns, and mapping of paths and tracks.

Priority works

  • Mapping and assessment of tracks, track rehabilitation works as needed
  • Bench seating installation at primary viewing platforms
  • Enforcement of illegal dumping and encroachment
  • Bushland management activities including weed removal and revegetation

Works will be conducted throughout the year, following seasonal and site requirements. Most works will not affect public use of the site.
