  • Council heard from nine members of the public and staff who made presentations about items on the agenda including: Public Interest Disclosure Policy; QPRC Annual Community Grants 2026/27; Update on Googong Voluntary Planning Agreement Amendments; Grant Funding Application Better Open Spaces Program (in favour or Jerrabomberra Skate Park upgrade); Monaro Rock Quarry response to submission; Community Satisfaction Survey 2026; Events Policy; 2025-26 4th Quarter Budget Review Statement and Budget Revotes; and Mount Jerrabomberra Mapping
  • Council endorsed both Agnes Avenue Park and Jerrabomberra Skate Park as projects for the grant submission under the Better Open Spaces Program and subject to grant being successful provide additional matching funds in 2027-28 Operational Plan. Council will also add the Jerrabomberra Skate Park to its NSW Election advocacy projects list
  • Council received information report about the Bungendore Economic Stimulus Trial
  • Council approved Category A Grants for 2026-27 totalling $44,026 and Category B Venue Hire Donations for 2026-27 totalling $45,000
  • Council approved execution of funding deeds for $2,000 each, totalling $28,000 for the 14 eligible applicants for Round 2 or the Monaro Street Shopfront Improvement Program
  • Council will notify and engage six property owners identified as high flood risk at their property to advise their property has been identified as potentially eligible for future Voluntary Purchase schemes and to gauge support should these schemes become available. Council will develop a targeted awareness program for residents in units located in high flood hazard areas, and a community wide awareness program relating to flooding in Queanbeyan
  • Council received and noted the June 2026 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, carried forward and revoted budget of $36,164,216 into the 2026-27 financial year, noted the draft unaudited Cash and Investments position as at June 2026
  • Council received Investment Report for the month of July 2026, noting return of $1,082,093
  • Council, in accordance with Joint Venture Deed with Homes NSW, approved entering into a 20-year lease agreement with Argyle Community Housing for 26-28 Sassafras Crescent, Karabar
  • Council dissolved the Wamboin Canning Close Reserve Committee as a delegated Section 355 Committee and will negotiate a license agreement with the Wamboin Pony Club for the use of the Canning Close Reserve site
  • Council will place the draft Agricultural Chemical Use in Public Places Policy and the associated Draft Pesticide Use Notification Plan on public exhibition for 28 days at https://yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au
  • Council adopted the amended Events Policy
  • Council adopted the Review of Environmental Factors Determination Policy, Directional Signage Policy, Public Interest Disclosure Policy, Data Breach Policy, Crown Road Management Policy
  • Council acquired Lot 8 DP1307838 for the purpose of the road realignment of Cooma Road, Ballalaba
  • Council endorsed the $1,645,000 Funding Agreement for the Federal Government’s Major and Local Community Infrastructure Program for the Jerrabomberra Community Infrastructure Upgrade
  • Council received information report about the Jerrabomberra Traffic Campaign and outcomes from Brudenell Drive consultation
  • Council received information report about Section 355 Committee Financials 2025-26
  • Council received information report about the submission response from Monaro Rock
  • Council received information report about the completion of solar and battery projects on Council facilities
  • Council received information report with an update on Googong Voluntary Planning Agreement Amendments
  • Council received information report about the Community Satisfaction Survey 2026
  • Council received information report about mapping of Mount Jerrabomberra
  • Council received information report about the completion of Scope 3 emissions inventory for FY2023-24
  • Council received information report with a letter from the Minister for Local Government about the Joint Organisations Framework Review
  • Council noted the minutes of the Local Transport Forum held on 9 June 2026
  • Council noted the minutes of the Local Transport Forum held on 4 August 2026
  • Council receives information report with answers to councillor questions about items on the agenda
  • In closed session, Council received information report about legal matters
