  • Council considered submissions to the draft Community Strategic Plan and endorsed the Queanbeyan-Palerang Community Strategic Plan 2042 including amendments listed within an attachment to the business paper
  • Council received the March 2025 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, adopted the budget variations outlined in the report, noted the opinion of the Responsible Accounting Officer in relation to Council’s financial performance and projected year result is satisfactory
  • Council received investment report for April 2025 noting return of $1,255,110
  • Council approved QPRC membership of Southern Tablelands Arts until 31 December 2029
  • Council endorsed the Nerriga Community Plan and will place the plan on the website with other community plans
  • Council endorsed the allocation of $14,800 to support ‘Bungendore Bites – A Taste of Spring’ event
  • Council approved a Cultural Grant of $1,000 to ArtsNational Molonglo Plains Inc. for the purchase of two laptops
  • Council appointed seven community members to the Queanbeyan Showground Advisory Committee and will seek representation from First Nations community, Queanbeyan and District Historical Museum Society, and the Heritage Advisory Committee
  • Council appointed four community members to the Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery Advisory Committee
  • Council amended the Terms of Reference for the Small Business Advisory Committee to allow for a maximum of eight community representatives, including one nominated by each of the Braidwood and Bungendore business chambers. Council appointed six community representatives and two representatives from business chambers
  • Council received information report about planning performance
  • Council received information report about the Valuer General’s Cancellation of Commonwealth Land and letter of response from CEO of Value NSW
  • Council received information report about Councillors workshops from 9 to 22 May including Quarterly Budget Review Statement as at 31 March 2025; Regional Sports Complex Update of Business Case; PFAS Bungendore – status, risk assessment, mitigation strategy
  • Council noted the minutes of the QPRC Heritage Advisory Committee meeting held on 8 May 2025
  • In closed session, Council awarded contract for Garden Waste Processing and Removal from QPRC Waste Transfer Stations to Soilco Pty Ltd for $522,474 per annum until 29 Oct 2029
  • In closed session, Council awarded contract for Monaro Street Upgrade – Construction to Dale and Hitchcock Civil Pty Ltd for $10,582,750 ex GST
  • In closed session, Council approved a contribution of $50,000 from the Heritage Reserve Fund in the 2025-26 Operational Fund as matched funding for the Braidwood and Villages Business Chamber’s NSW Heritage Grant application to prepare a Heritage Interpretation Plan
