  • Council heard from three members of the public who made presentations about items on tonight’s agenda including Dunns Creek Road and Improved Vehicle Wildlife Road Collision Mitigation Measures
  • Council noted a Mayoral Minute about a retrospective non-pecuniary conflict of interest declaration
  • Council noted the memorandum addressing the proposed road corridor for the western alignment of the proposed Dunns Creek Road and acknowledged that the existing road corridor as per the current LEP mapping can now be relinquished
  • Council authorised staff to progress a planning proposal to relocate current reserved corridor for Dunns Creek Road within the Tralee Urban Release Area, noting that the progression of the planning proposal is in respect of commissioned studies
  • Council authorised the General Manager to review and endorse a deed of variation to the Jumping Creek Voluntary LPA 2021 to clarify it applies to DA.2022.1605. Variation to be notified and executed
  • Council received the December 2023 Quarterly Budget Review Statement, adopted the budget variations and noted the opinion of the Responsible Accounting Officer that Council’s financial performance and projected year result is satisfactory
  • Council received Investment Report for January 2024, noting return was $1,233,988
  • Council authorised the Mayor and General Manager to sign and affix seal of amended loan contracts with NSW Treasury Corporation
  • Council will place the draft Compliance and Enforcement Policy on exhibition at https://yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au for 28 days
  • Council adopted the Data Breach Policy
  • Council adopted the Agricultural Chemical Use in Public Places Policy
  • Council received information report on feedback from the public exhibition of the 2022-23 Financial Statements
  • Council noted information report on Councillor workshops held between 14-21 February 2024 including Dunns Creek Road, Quarterly Budget Review Statement and Jerrabomberra Pump Track
  • Council noted minutes of the Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee on 16 October and 4 December 2023
  • Council noted minutes of Local Traffic Committee on 6 February 2024 and adopted recommendations from the meeting
  • Council noted minutes of Bungendore Town Centre and Environs Committee of 20 November and 18 December 2023
  • Council will receive a report on implementing Mount Jerrabomberra Plan of Management following the 2023-24 budget allocation to commence this work
  • Council will consider allocating funding in the 2024-25 Operational Plan for providing additional bicycle parking in city and town centres, installing shade cloth for Queanbeyan outdoor pool, reviewing concept plan for Agnes Avenue Park and revising costs estimates
  • Council will receive a report on options and costs for improved vehicle-wildlife road collision mitigation measures on rural high traffic roads and consider operational funding in the 2024-25 financial year for installation
  • Council noted fantastic job the community did in repairing stone Wamboin sign on corner of Norton and Sutton Roads and will hold a workshop to discuss options for lighting at the intersection to enhance safety and visual aspects
  • Council noted the annual Clean Up Australia Day on 3 March 2024 and that the Wamboin Community Association held CUAD events for 27 years before ceasing following advice from Council. Council will refer the matter to the Local Traffic Committee for consideration how to mitigate risk sufficiently to allow clean-up along roadsides in non-urban areas
  • In closed session, Council appointed Phillip Leeson Architects & Associates as the QPRC Heritage Advisor for 2024-2026 and in the event that they decline, will appoint Can Ercan
